LoanLoop is a software tool for organizing private loans. We are not a financial institution, lender, or legal advisor. Please consult qualified professionals before making financial or legal decisions.

Not a Financial Institution

LoanLoop is a software tool, not a bank, lender, mortgage broker, or financial institution. LoanLoop does not originate loans, hold funds, or provide financial services as defined by federal or state law.

Not Financial or Legal Advice

Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The tools provided, including amortization calculators, payment schedules, and income summaries, are for informational and organizational purposes only.

Usury Laws

Lenders are solely responsible for ensuring their interest rates and loan terms comply with all applicable federal and state usury laws. LoanLoop does not verify or enforce compliance with usury laws.

Regulatory Compliance, Including Dodd-Frank

Lenders are solely responsible for ensuring their lending activities comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including, without limitation, applicable provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Lenders who complete more than a limited number of seller-financed transactions per year may be subject to additional regulatory requirements. This notice is not an exhaustive statement of the laws that may apply to you. Please consult a licensed attorney for guidance specific to your situation.

Calculations Based on Lender-Entered Terms

LoanLoop performs calculations — including amortization schedules, late fees, and prepayment penalties — based solely on loan terms entered and configured by the lender. LoanLoop does not determine, validate, endorse, or enforce those terms. Calculated amounts displayed in LoanLoop do not constitute a demand for payment, a determination that any amount is legally owed, or a representation that any fee or penalty is lawful or enforceable. Borrowers should review their loan agreement and consult a licensed attorney regarding any disputed amount.

Prepayment Penalties

LoanLoop allows lenders to configure prepayment penalties as a record-keeping feature. LoanLoop does not validate, endorse, or enforce prepayment penalty terms. Amounts LoanLoop displays for prepayment penalties are calculations based solely on lender-entered terms and do not constitute a demand for payment. Prepayment penalties are subject to state and federal restrictions, including limitations under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Lenders are solely responsible for ensuring their loan terms, including any prepayment penalties, comply with all applicable laws. Borrowers should review all loan terms carefully and consult a licensed attorney before accepting any loan. LoanLoop is not liable for any disputes, penalties, or legal consequences arising from prepayment penalty terms configured by users.

Tax Information

LoanLoop does not report any transactions, payments, interest, or income to the IRS or any state or local tax authority. LoanLoop does not issue IRS tax forms (such as 1099-INT, 1098, or 6252) and provides informational summaries only. Year-end summaries generated by LoanLoop are for organizational purposes and are not a substitute for official tax forms or filings. You are solely responsible for reporting your own income and meeting your tax obligations. Please consult a qualified tax professional regarding your specific situation.

Installment Sale Calculations

LoanLoop's installment sale calculations are based on IRS Publication 537 and IRC Section 453 using the gross profit ratio method. These calculations do not account for depreciation recapture, mortgage assumptions, selling expenses, or other adjustments. Down payments received at closing are included in year-of-sale installment income calculations. LoanLoop does not report installment sale transactions to any tax authority and does not issue Form 6252 or any other official IRS tax forms. Please consult a qualified tax professional regarding your installment sale reporting obligations.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy in all calculations, LoanLoop makes no guarantee that amortization schedules, payment calculations, or other figures are error-free. Always verify important financial calculations independently.

Loan Statuses and User-Entered Records

Loan statuses (such as "Paid Off," "Active," or "Late"), balances, and payment records displayed in LoanLoop reflect information entered by users — primarily the lender. LoanLoop does not independently verify the accuracy of user-entered records and cannot confirm whether payments were actually made, received, or applied in any particular amount. Displayed statuses and records do not constitute official statements of account, legal releases, or satisfaction of debt. Parties should obtain formal documentation — such as a written release or satisfaction of debt letter — directly from each other for any legal purpose. LoanLoop is not liable for any disputes, losses, or legal consequences arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or disputed user-entered records.

Third Party Services

LoanLoop uses Stripe for subscription billing (lenders paying for their LoanLoop plan) and Supabase for secure data storage. Stripe does not process loan payments between lenders and borrowers. We are not responsible for the actions, errors, or omissions of third-party service providers.

Loan Record Maintenance

Loan records on LoanLoop are maintained by the lender. LoanLoop displays the lender's records and notifies borrowers of changes to loan terms. The underlying loan agreement remains between the lender and borrower; LoanLoop's records reflect what the lender has entered and do not constitute an independent verification, modification, or legal amendment of that agreement.
